Sam D’Urso

Sam D’Urso, Chief Master Sergeant, USAF, retired, is the General Manager of Freeman Holdings of Million Air Rome.  Sam hails from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and enlisted in the Air Force on November 16, 1987 as an Air Traffic Controller.  Since then, he has served in every leadership position from Watch Supervisor to Group Superintendent.

Sam’s military education includes the Noncommissioned Officer Preparatory School, the Noncommissioned Officer Academy, the Senior Noncommissioned Officer Academy and the Chief Master Sergeant Leadership Course.  He earned an Associate degree in Airway Science through the Community College of the Air Force and a Bachelor of Science in Professional Aeronautics through Embry Riddle Aeronautical University.

Sam’s awards and decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal with five oak leaf clusters, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Air Force Commendation Medal with four oak leaf clusters, Joint Service Achievement Medal, Air Force Achievement Medal with two oak leaf clusters, Air Force Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal with two service stars, Korea Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Armed Forces Service Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal and the NATO Medal.
